Issuance Of Digital Signature Certificates (Class II and III) For issuing Digital Signature Certificates to applicants, MSEFSL is currently tied up with E Sign India Pvt. Ltd.,who are in turn associated with leading Certifying Authorities like Sify Technologies , E-Mudra and Capricorn.
Digital signatures are the new age signatures which play an important part in digitisation of important records and documents at the Government level to bring in reliability and transparency. The Information Technology Act , 2000 has given legal recognition to digital signature based on asymmetric cryptosystems meaning, thereby, that legally it has the same value as handwritten or signed signatures affixed to a document for its verification.
Filing of all forms and reports of Ministry of Corporate Affairs and of Registrar of Companies have been compulsorily brought under online submission through digital signatures. Employees Provident Fund submissions are also now made online through Digital Signatures. Under MCA21 every person who is required to sign manual documents and returns filed with ROC is required to obtain a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). Accordingly following have to obtain Digital Signature Certificates:
  • Directors and key company officials like CEOs/CFOs etc.
  • Auditors and Practicing Chartered Accountants
  • Company Secretary - Whether in practice or in job
  • Bank Officials - for Registration of Charges
  • Other Authorized Signatories
For certain categories of Income Tax Assessees , it is mandatory to file their returns online using digital signatures
Central Government and many of the State Governments entertain tendering process through E Tender which necessarily has to have Digital Signatures while submitting online. Many of the Public Sector Undertakings also follow E Tender Process. Hence, persons applying for tender need to necessarily have Digital Signature Certificates – Category III.
The Government Officials looking after key administrative and Finance roles also need to have Digital Signatures.
